War Strategies

Preparation Day (24 hours)

• Once war has been declared, preparation day will immediately start and will last approximately 24 hours.
• During Preparation Day, everyone needs to make sure that their war base is up-to-date. Any buildings created since the last save will not show up until you place it in the war base.
• To maximize defense and chances of winning only the highest level troops should be donated. If you are a lower level player do not donate to cc's in the war screen.
• Since resources will not be lost when your war base is being attacked, everyone should build a base that completely disregards resources. Your base should maximize your chances of defense completely. Whether or not you throw your storages outside is completely up to you, but you don't have to protect it as well as when you are farming.
• Be sure to keep clan castle and heroes as centralized as possible as they are good on defense if the attacker overlooks them/messes up as well! Numerous attacks have been lost because of 1) failure to lure/destroy heroes or 2) failure to lure/destroy cc troops. 

Battle Day (24 hours)

• After Preparation Day has ended, the game will take a snapshot of your current base, and that will be your war base. Your war base will remain the same until you change it in the war preparation screen.
• In Battle Day, your war base's cc troops, traps, xbows, IT's, heroes will all automatically refill/regenerate, so no need to worry about that!
• Everyone in the clan will only be allowed to attack twice in the war. During Battle Day, you will be able to scout your enemy's base before attacking. So be sure to maximize that function. Use clan chat or groupme chat to ask for advice on how to attack a particular base!
• You can choose any enemy base to attack, but keep in mind that you cannot attack the same target with both attacks.
• During Battle Day, you will have a recommended target for you that will be visible on the war map. The recommended target shows you the closest match for your attack strength based on the defense strength of your opponents. Base layout isn't taken into consideration, though, nor is your favorite attacking style, so it is a good idea to also check a few bases above it and a few bases below it to see if you can find a target you like better.
• Be sure to double check if any clan member has attacked the base you are about to attack. Replays will be available for all, you can use the replay to check where are the traps, what are the enemy's defending cc troops plus spot for any base weaknesses to aid in your attacks.
• IMPORTANT: keep in mind that only the best attack against each enemy War Base counts. If someone has already earned 2 stars on an enemy base, you will have to earn a perfect 3 stars against that same base to score one additional star for your clan.
• It is a better strategy to attack War Bases that have not yet been defeated (not been 1/2/3 starred) than to try to improve a previous best attack!
• You should allow lower level players to attack the lower level bases first. If they are unsuccessful then we can make up the stars. If higher level members attack lower level bases then the lower level players have nothing to attack.
